The Struggle to Engage –
As society grows more and more post-Christian and as current cultural challenges become more overwhelming, churches have a tendency to either hunker down,
become defensive or accommodate to what’s going on trying to be relevant. In either case, we often fail to engage. How do we cultivate a church’s presence amidst these challenges?
How do we lead a church to engage people with the gospel outside of the church walls? How do we engage the world’s injustices as a church?
How do we open space for the work of God in Christ by His Spirit in the world bringing people to himself? This afternoon’s sessions will focus on pastoring and leading churches
into missional engagement. We will discuss leadership pains, the cultural challenges, and thinking through a way forward in each of our cities, towns, and villages, in Saskatchewan.
